DESCRIPTION
Orlistat (RedoXfat Plus 60) comes with green cap and light green body size no. 2 hard gelatin capsule.

WHAT IS IN THE MEDICINE?
Orlistat (RedoXfat Plus 60) helps in the management of obesity together with diet modifications and works by inhibiting the pancreatic lipase, the enzyme that breaks down fat in small intestine. Without this enzyme fat in the diet is excreted undigested and therefore not absorbed by the body. Orlistat is minimally absorbed after oral administration.

WHAT IS THIS MEDICINE USED FOR?
Orlistat (RedoXfat Plus 60) is used for the management of obesity together with diet modifications in patients with Body Mass Index (BMI) of 28 kg/ m2 or greater. It may also be used in over-weight patient with a BMI of 27 kg/m2 or more if there are associated risk factors.

HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU USE THIS MEDICINE?
Take 1 capsule or 60 mg three times a day for patients with Body Mass Index (BMI) of greater than or equal to 28 kg/ m2 irrespective of any risk factors.

WHEN SHOULD YOU NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE?
Orlistat (RedoXfat Plus 60) should not be given to patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome or cholestasis and if undesirable interaction/s with other drug ingredients is/are possible. Pregnancy and lactation. Ask your doctor before use if necessary.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for your next dose skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose at the same time.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE TAKEN MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
If overdose is suspected, immediately consult a physician or other health care professionals or contact the nearest hospital.

HOW SHOULD YOU KEEP THIS MEDICINE?
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

Orlistat (RedoXfat Plus 60) 60 mg capsule is available in box of 10’s and 30’s (in blister pack of 10’s).
